Lil Messsage from Izzy

Our elders tell us that Language goes hand in hand with our culture. Without the other, we are nobody!

There are many facets of this language that we need to understand!

Here is an example:

Bimose/Bimase/mase/mose -To walk/he she is walking

Changing one letter changes the whole word, if we write moosenh- it becomes caterpillar.
Mooz-becomes Moose

Ebimosed -One who walks
Nbimse-I am walking
Ngii-bimase-I walked

I walked over to the store
Ngii-zhi-gaadese odaawe-gamigoong.

We can also say, Ngii-bimase odaawegamigoong gii-zhaa-yaanh. (I walked when I went to the store)

Notice the difference with the two words "Zhigaadeses and Bimase"

This is the dynamics of our language. To learn what ever you can and how each of the words function to the structure of what you are taking about!
